Fifteen minutes into a show that's live everywhere, you tap one button and the public feeds stop carrying the show. Your room keeps going. The audience over there sees the way in. That's the cut — the move that turns rented attention into a list you own, live, on camera.

What actually happens
The cut is a swap. Each social feed keeps its live session and starts receiving the card: this live has moved Backstage, the way in printed on it, and the same way in as a code to scan. Your picture is still running behind it — the card is a frame over the show, not a slab, and the audio keeps going. Because the sessions never end, platforms that can't restart a live stream are never harmed, and the swap back is as seamless as the cut. Meanwhile:
- Your room keeps the clean feed — nothing changes in there, and the room never sees the card.
- Fans on your list who aren't in the room yet get a push.
Coming back
Restore social feeds swaps every card back to the clean feed in one tap — cut by accident, or came backstage early, either way. Everything that swapped comes back seamlessly; a feed the platform's own rules made us end stays ended. Where the media plane can cut one feed at a time, each destination row also carries its own Cut and Restore — “cut Instagram now, YouTube in five minutes.” When the plane routes every feed through one program, the one big button is the honest control and per-row buttons don't pretend otherwise.
What the live records
The receipt shows each destination's final state with its cut time, and — when the room was actually sampled — how many of the people in your room at the cut were still there ten minutes later. A room that wasn't sampled shows nothing rather than a made-up zero.
Clips stay clean
Clips are cut from the room's clean recording. Nothing is ever clipped from the card composition, so a cut show still produces clean morning clips.
